Shawn Green cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at the ballpark as the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches, running on all cylinders, ripped the Tampico Stogies by a large 18 to 6 margin. Green had a great day at the plate. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st inning, ripping a solo home run (his 5th of the season) in the 3rd inning and doubled plating two runs in the 4th inning. Santa Fe provided plenty of action in the 1st inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits and the 4th inning with 10 runs on 8 hits. Santa Fe out-hit Tampico for the game, 15 hits to 11. The victory went to Brian Lawrence(2-0) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 5 runs. Carl Pavano(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 4 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.
